Requirements for recreational vehicles located in flood zones are found in Chapter 42 of the Taylor County Code of Ordinances and read as follows:

1. All recreational vehicles placed on sites must satisfy all of the following:

a. Be fully licensed and ready for highway use;
b. Be on-site not more than 180 days in a one-year period and be removed from the site for the remainder of the calendar year; and
c. Have on-site a public or private sewer permitted pursuant to section 42-860 or present proof of a waste disposal contract.

A recreational vehicle is ready for highway use if it is on its wheels or jacking system, is attached to the site only by quick disconnect type utilities and security devices and has no permanently attached structures.
