About the Department
The Information Systems (IS) serves the Board of County Commissioners and it's departments by providing support for all Information technology (IT) related systems as well as overseeing all communication (cellular, landline, and radio) systems. The IS department provides email services as well as designing and hosting the county website and online Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) map for the county. The Information Systems (IS) serves all Board Departments and the County Extension Office.
The IS department provides non-technical services by managing all public records for the Commission. The IS department director Public Records Manager for the Board of County Commissioners and is responsible for all archiving and retention of public records as required by Ch.119 of the Florida Statute. The IS department is responsible for the Commission's Fixed Assets performing annual inventories and reporting those findings to the Finance Department ensuring that the county assets are properly accounted for and disposed of in accordance to Florida Statute.
