MISSION
The Human Resources Department plans and directs personnel administration for all departments of the Board of County Commissioners, including benefits, salary administration, recruitment, selection and training; as well as ensures competitive classification and pay plan programs and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws on employment issues.

All employment decisions are made on the basis of individual skills, regardless of such factors as race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, pregnancy, genetic information, disability or any other protected status or condition protected by applicable federal, state or local laws.
The Department supports the Board’s departments in many critical administrative requirements. As the Board’s Risk Manager, the Director manages all workers’ compensation, auto and general liability claims. The Director also serves as the Board’s Records Management Liaison Officer and coordinates all public records requests.
